No Right/Wrong Way to Doodle
How do you doodle an Essex maze? I bet you can doodle better! Let’s see…
Did you know that there’s no right or wrong way to doodle? Really!
Pencil doodles, marker doodles, pen doodles… They’re all doodles. And they are all beautiful, fascinating, and/or entertaining in their own ways.
My buddy described a cool doodle tattoo his friend created for her body. And now it’s part of her. Forever. The illustrated woman!
Chalk doodles on sidewalks are a personal favorite, though I’m not a particularly capable or comfortable (allergy to chalk dust?) chalk doodler. And what about digital doodles created on your smart phone or tablet? I’m guilty of this last one, especially when I’m sitting in a waiting room listening to the clock tick.
So, How Do You Doodle?
How do you doodle? Do the margins of your blotter and your phone book blur with tangled ink? Do you squiggle little hearts in your note cards? Do you “decorate” your notebooks with quirky embellishments? Do you jot down football plays or caricatures of your friends on cocktail napkins? Do you quickly, easily create hand drawn maps for visitors?
It’s all good, because there’s no right or wrong way to doodle. Just doodle.
